CHAMBERLIN AIRPORT NEIGHBORHOOD UPDATE
A video recording and written documentation of comments and questions will be added to this page from the September 14th 6:30pm Chamberlin Elementary School neighborhood meeting.
Informational Topics Included: Landscaping goals in the Chamberlin neighborhood including sound insulation program updates.
In an effort to continue to foster a sense of community, the Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport is proposing a new recreation path which will incorporate various landscape elements in the Chamberlin neighborhood. The path will be a "green belt" filled with native plant species and features that mimic Vermont's iconic landscape. One of the goals of this conceptual path is to help create further connectivity, health and wellness within the neighborhood.

Master Plan Update
The Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport is an important resource for Chittenden County and the State of Vermont as a whole. Because of that it is important to map out plans for future development that might be needed to ensure community input is received and financial planning can be carried out. An Airport Master Plan is a study used to determine the long-term development plans for an airport, addresses the development needs for a 20-year time period. The Airport Master Plan process provides opportunities for political entities and the public to participate in the development of aviation plans. It provides a framework for individual airport development programs consistent with short, intermediate, and long-range airport system requirements and determines future financial requirements. For further informaiton, please visit: www.btvmasterplan.com
